Stansted Cricket Club has 5 ECB Level II qualified coaches, ensuring the latest approaches are applied to developing our young cricketers. We are a ClubMark registered club, with a fully qualified Child Welfare Officer.

We will run two teams U15, U12 with the Bardfield League – These are development leagues to cater for all standards.

Plus we will look for other friendly matches to add to these fixtures including some U13 games.

POINTS TO NOTE:

  • It is essential we have full contact details of any child in our care including contact details of parents or guardian in case of emergency
  • We are a ClubMark Registered Club and as such will require other forms to be filled out to ensure the best protection is provided for your Child (e.g. Allergies Medical Conditions)
  • Our CWO is Mike Burgoine for any issues concerning Child Welfare  ** We are actively seeking another volunteer to provide Child Welfare Support for our young Cricketers – Whilst Mike is qualified as our CWO, he is also one of our Coaches so ideally we seek a parent who is not actively involved in the running of the Club to provide this support – Please let me know if you’re interested in helping **
  • Your child will receive a free Cricket Shirt should they play in a Match for SJCC
  • Full protective equipment is provided by the Club
  • Each child should bring a drink with them for matches and training
  • Signing as a member of SJCC means each player accepts to adhere to our Code of Conduct
  • We’d encourage any parent who is keen to be involved in the running of the Club to please make themselves known.

DEVELOPING CRICKETERS – U15’S AND RECENT GRADUATES OF OUR YOUTH SYSTEM.

Are you now 15, 16, 17 and keen to still play cricket? We actively encourage our youngsters to join in the friendly adult cricket games on Sunday’s as an opportunity to gain experience in the longer form of the game.

Our 2nd Team play in the Cambridge League (Saturday’s) – This will is a reduced level of intensity – It is also only 40 overs instead of 45, plus we will  play mainly in villages south of Cambridge – so hopefully quite accessible.

It is our intention to have our young cricketers to play an active part in these games – and provide them with ample opportunity to participate. Please ask the coaches for more information.
